What is Reiki?
Reiki is from two Japanese words - Rei which means “Universal or Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy.”
In Eastern philosophy Ki (also spelled Chi or Qi) is the power which animates all things bring balance, wellness and happiness.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes the body’s natural healing abilities. It is administered by the practitioner using specialized hand positions either gently touching the client or held a few inches from the client's body.
Reiki replenishes and balances the “life force energy” that flows through us. If one's "life force energy" is low or unbalanced, then we are likely to experience illness, tension and stress, and if it is balanced, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
